The XXIVth HOUR: A Song of Ice & Fire & Fury - Silent Barn
February 17, 2018 - New York

Come gather, ye damnéd souls. Hark. Fucking HARK, my pretties! The XXIVth Hour RETURNS FROM THE DEPTHS OF HADES TO OBLITERATE YOUR SOUL...WITH...THEATER?!?? What started as a series of Julia Child's early cooking recipes has evolved through the centuries into the most entertaining, deliberately chaotic theater festival in all of this great city and this very bad country! We write plays for you on Friday night, because we are NICE and also LONELY, and then rehearse and perform those plays for you the very next day! Again because we are SO VERY LONELY. That means you could be in for ANYTHING! A formulaic frat comedy about two competing cults, or a Mean Girls-style clique of young women trying to fuck their dads (??!?!?), or perhaps the story of a high school power couple learning life lessons from a polyamorous Australian(-ish) exchange student. HATE THOSE EXAMPLES? SAME. BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, WE ALREADY DID THEM SO YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO SEE THEM. So brave the cold this February 17th at the magnificent Silent Barn, and we will warm you with LAUGHTER! And alcohol that will help more probably. Enjoy the show that Fictional Detective Marvin Gardens once called: "What is this i... (read more)

As soon as we saw the space at Ridgewood's newest venue, Nowadays, and heard the incredible SBS sound system installed there, we knew it was time to take The Bunker Limited out of hibernation. And who better to relaunch the series in it's classic one DJ all night original format than The Bunker and Interdimensional Transmissions / No Way Back resident DJ Patrick Russell who will be gracing the decks from open to close? If you were there for his legendary 10-hour closing set at the Unter x Bunker 36-hour rave at Market Hotel in 2016 or his 8 hour set at The Bunker LTD at Trans Pecos in 2014, then you know this is not a set to miss. Aztec Two-Step Performs The Simon & Garfunkel Songbook: An Evening Of Songs & Stories - City Winery
February 18, 2018 - New York

When Rex Fowler and Neal Shulman, the critically acclaimed duo Aztec Two-Step, burst on the scene in 1972 with their Elektra Records debut, they were often reviewed as having the "intellectual lyricism" and "ethereal harmonies" of their legendary predecessors Simon & Garfunkel. Renowned for helping to usher the folk-rock music of the 1960s into the '70s and beyond, Aztec Two-Step continues to be one of acoustic music's most beloved and enduring acts. While the duo possesses a rich musical legacy of their own, here they masterfully interpret and perform the timeless songs and harmonies of Simon & Garfunkel. The compelling multimedia music event celebrates Simon & Garfunkel's iconic contribution to Pop Culture and beyond. The music speaks for itself. The storyline of the Songbook show was originally created by the late great pioneer of progressive FM radio and author, Pete Fornatale. Now mc'ing the show and featured on narration, along with creating The Songbook's slideshow, is Fornatale's protégé, WCWP DJ and Long Island Hall of Fame co-founder Tony Traguardo. Laughter and nostalgia abound, and a sing-a- long is always in the mix. "It was a great night of stories and songs...o... (read more)
