The Young People’s Chorus of NYC to Perform Two World Premieres at AloneTogether Exhibit
Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) has announced a diverse, talent-packed lineup for a music series within its new, mixed-media art installation, AloneTogether, an in-depth exploration of the impact of Covid-19-related global turmoil on the hearts and minds of children and young adults.
On Friday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m., guests will listen to two world premieres from renowned composers Thomas Cabaniss and Elizabeth Núñez, with selected songs performed by celebrated Soprano Shanelle Woods and the YPC choristers. Cabaniss’s inspirational piece "Heaven Is" and Núñez’s uplifting piece “My Rainbow in the Window” were both commissioned for THE CANONS PROJECT, a film featured in the AloneTogether installation.
The full AloneTogether exhibition is open to the public Saturday, November 20-Sunday, December 19 (Wednesday-Sunday) from noon – 6 pm.
