ANGELI ANGLICUS A Tudor Christmas
EM/NY’s perennially sold-out holiday concerts at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine are a cherished annual tradition. This year, Maestro Renz and his men’s choir focus on Renaissance England, with caroles, noels, motets and other works by William Cornysh, Henry VIII, Christopher Tye, William Byrd, John Dowland and Thomas Ravenscroft, accompanied by recorders, lute and viola da gamba, which will also offer instrumental delights. (75 min - no intermission)
Sunday, December 19 at 2 pm Saturday, December 25 (Christmas Day) at 2 pm* and 5 pm Sunday, December 26 (Boxing Day) at 2 pm and 5 pm Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, Amsterdam Avenue at 112th Street, NYC
