A Night to Dismember: The Original Cut
DORIS WISHMAN'S HORROR DREAMSCAPE -- NEVER SEEN IN THEATERS UNTIL NOW! Hosted by Annie Choi (Bleeding Skull). Admission only $5! In the early 1980s, filmmaker Doris Wishman (BAD GIRLS GO TO HELL) claimed that the original cut of her only horror movie was destroyed by a disgruntled lab worker. But that story wasn't true. Recently discovered by the film's cinematographer, A NIGHT TO DISMEMBER: THE ORIGINAL CUT is a revelation for fans of Wishman, abstract trash-horror, and questionable wigs. Vastly different than the final released version, this original cut feels like an alt-Earth soap opera that was hijacked by ghosts from the Amityville house and buckets of DIY gore. In other words, this is a sublime addition to the legacy of the most prolific (and demented) female filmmaker of all time. (Joseph A. Ziemba)
