2D Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
WEDDINGS ARE COMPLICATED. SO ARE WICKED FAIRY GODMOTHERS. Prince Phillip and Queen Aurora have just got engaged, and everyone in the kingdom is rejoicing. Everyone except, of course, Aurora's wicked fairy godmother Maleficent, who can't stand the idea of Phillip's mother gathering Aurora up as her own. Family ties get complicated when weddings are involved, and Maleficent once more turns her magic against the kingdom – and Aurora's mother-in-law to be – in order to prevent nuptial disaster. Everyone's favorite Disney villainess returns in MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL. Angelina Jolie returns to the character she turned into an unlikely antihero, joined by fellow returnees Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville, and new cast additions Chiwetel Ejiofor (THE LION KING), Ed Skrein (ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL), and Michelle Pfeiffer (ANT-MAN AND THE WASP), and she's brought all her delicious villainy to the party. MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL brings all the original's clever fairytale twists and sinister magic back to the screen. With a top-notch cast and huge-scale visual effects, this sequel pits the armies of the kingdom and the magic of the Moors against each other, escalating to all-out war. Mothers-in-law can be like that.
