Vintage Shopping in New York City

You’re in New York City, one of the most desirable shopping destinations in the world. While we understand why you'd want to spend some time walking up and down Fifth Avenue, there are also plenty of stores around where you can score great pieces that won't break the bank. We’re talking vintage, all the way. Here are just a couple worth checking out.

1. Hell's Kitchen Flea Market

Hell's Kitchen Flea Market

Visiting an outdoor market is a great way to explore New York City. You’ll get to be outside, in the midst of the city, while going on a scavenger hunt for great items you just have to bring home. The Hell's Kitchen Flea Market is open only on Saturday and Sunday, so you can make this a part of your weekend things to do. It’s a great market if you’re looking for vintage clothing, antiques, jewelry, etc. annexmarkets.com

2. Grand Bazaar NYC

Grand Bazaar

Another market that’s open on the weekend only is the Grand Bazaar NYC, one of the oldest markets in New York City. This is only open on Sundays from 10 am to 5:30 pm. Located on the Upper West Side, this market is well beloved by New Yorkers, and you’re likely to find a treasure to bring back home in the form of antiques, jewelry, etc. grandbazaarnyc.org.

3. 10ft Single by Stella Davis

Head on over to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to check out this vintage shop. You won’t be disappointed. Williamsburg is known for being hip and trendy, and if you’re looking to find something that not everyone else has, you should visit 10ft Single by Stella Davis. The staff is friendly, the space is big, and the selection even greater. There are items for both men and women here, so it’s a perfect outing for a couple looking for some vintage treasures! 285 N. 6th Street, Brooklyn, 718-486-9482.

4. Starstruck Vintage

This West Village space might be limited, but the selection is definitely not. Looking for a cool, vintage t shirt, with maybe your favorite tv show growing up on it? Or maybe an original Levi’s denim jacket? Starstruck Vintage is the place to go. The selection is immense, and you’ll spend some time going through it all. But the chance of you leaving the store with a bag or two, highly likely.

5. What Comes Around Goes Around

What Goes Around Comes Around

If you’re all about designer brands, this is the store you don’t want to miss. Just wait until you step foot inside What Comed Around Goes Around. You’ll be surrounded by Gucci, Chanel, and Hermès before you know it. If you have a high budget we recommend a trip inside. If you don’t, we still suggest a trip inside. It’s not everyday one gets to immerse themselves in authentic luxury vintage accessories and apparel.
