This high-end steakhouse is an empire unto itself, with top-of-the-line steaks and award-winning wine, not to mention fresh-caught seafood and their famous lemon cake to top off your meal. This spring, Executive Chef Brian Christman has added five new dishes that you should try as soon as possible. Below are details about the newest additions to the menu, plus other highlights you can expect in your dining experience at Del Frisco’s.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse: New Spring Dishes

Whether you come to Del Frisco’s on a date, with family, or for business, you’ll want to order every single one of the menu’s five newest dishes to share. To start, there’s the grilled peach and burrata salad. That’s fresh basil and crunchy pea tendrils topped with grilled peach and burrata cheese, dressed in honey white balsamic and garnished with mint and prosciutto (now that is a mouth-watering sentence!). Another starter is the clam chowder, a New England classic with clams, bacon, and creamy broth.

The newest addition to the steak menu is the long bone veal chop, a tender and hearty 14-oz. cut served with grilled onions, roasted tomatoes, and lemon confit butter; it’s also perfect for sharing. Add to the veal the butter-poached spring vegetables as a side, which feature asparagus, sugar snap peas, and English peas in lemon basil butter. If you split the veal, you can definitely make room for the crispy soft-shell crab, now seasonally available from the Maryland coastline! The crabs are fried and served with refreshing, sweet strawberry tabbouleh.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse: The Steak

Del Frisco's Steakhouse

At Del Frisco’s, the extensive steak menu might take some navigating if you’re not the most experienced carnivore. There are hand-cut steaks and chops, as well as dry-aged steaks that have been aging for 45 days prior to cooking to enrich the flavor. You’ll see that nearly every steak is labeled “Prime.” That’s because Executive Chef Brian Christman only selects the highest quality of USDA beef (only 2% of U.S. beef is certified prime). Whether you’re looking for a tender 8-ounce filet mignon or a rich, bold dry-aged ribeye, it’s yours at Del Frisco’s. If you dare, try the “The Double Eagle” 45-day dry-age double bone prime ribeye, an astounding 32 ounces!

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse: The Seafood

Del Frisco's Seafood

Once you select your steak, consider a seafood choice as well. Each is more delicious than the next, with chilled shrimp with three dipping sauces and Alaskan king crab leg catching the eye amidst the list of appetizers. For the best seafood entrees, go for the deconstructed jumbo lump crab cake with cajun-lobster cream sauce or large broiled lobster tail, carved tableside. The requisite lobster mac ‘n cheese stands up to its many competitors in the area, but if you can catch the special gnocchi with king crab, order it immediately.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse: The Wine Cellar and Bar

Wine Del Frisco's

Under Sommelier Crystl Faye Horton, Del Frisco’s has achieved an unprecedented level of sophistication and nuance in its wine selections. The steakhouse’s wine program won Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence three times from 2011 to 2013. In 2017, Wine Spectator selected Del Frisco’s for the coveted Grand Award. That puts the steakhouse among the 90 Grand Award winners worldwide—quite an elite club. Needless to say, your wine will exceed your wildest expectations when you enjoy a meal or a drink at the bar. The glass cellar (which is also available for private reservations) boasts 2,200 varieties of wine and 12,500 bottles, full of time-honored favorites and upstart labels.

Cocktail-wise, you can find a range of perfectly balanced mixed drinks—sweet, smoky, savory, and everything in between. A popular pick is The VIP with Svedka vodka, clementine, and pineapple. A balanced pink drink is the Plum Rosé with American Harvest vodka, sparkling rosé, and plum.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse: The Space

The three stories of tables at Del Frisco might sound imposing in print, but it’s anything but when you enjoy a meal there. You’ll be right at home among the many diners enjoying their steaks on white tablecloths, aided by pitch-perfect service to help you settle in and navigate the menu. You’ll also have crystal-clear views of 6th Avenue, Radio City Music Hall, and the city beyond through the walls of plate glass.

If you’re looking for a space for your next event, you can book one of their five private and semi-private rooms. The spacious wine cellar holds 140 guests, while the intimate Diamond Room seats 26. Have a business event, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, or reunion here, enjoying your favorite people, great food and wine, and impeccable service.
