The Museum of Jewish Heritage is New York's Holocaust memorial museum and its Core Exhibition relates the Holocaust from the perspective of those who experienced it. Using first-person histories and personal objects, the exhibition explains the essence and beauty of Jewish life before WWII, telling the story of Europe’s Jews confronting hatred, violence, and the struggle to endure the unimaginable. The Core Exhibition presents Jewish Life A Century Ago, The War Against the Jews, and Jewish Renewal.

On temporary view, Memory Unearthed: The Lodz Ghetto Photographs of Henryk Ross reveal a lost time and place with some 200 recovered images. 

Museum admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $7 for students. Members and children 12 and younger are admitted for free. Use City Guide's coupon and get $4 off each adult ticket for up to two adults.
