Intrepid to Honor Military Heroes with Veterans Day Ceremony

Intrepid Museum Veterans Day: Hundreds of veterans, including former crew members of the aircraft carrier Intrepid, will attend the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum’s annual ceremony honoring our nation’s military service members on Manhattan's west side this Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 3:30pm.

The tribute will include the presentation of the National Colors and an annual commemorative wreath-laying in the Hudson River. Remarks will be made by Mayor’s Office of Veterans’ Affairs Commissioner Loree Sutton, M.D., Brigadier General, U.S. Army (Retired); Rear Admiral Cynthia M. Thebaud, Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 2; and Susan Marenoff-Zausner, President of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.

This year, two wreaths will be laid in the river in honor of United States veterans and former crew members of the Intrepid. Museum entrance is free to all U.S. veterans and active and retired military through the generous support of Bank of America.
