Nysferatu: Symphony of a Century - Brooklyn Bridge Park - Pier 1

More Art premieres Andrea Mastrovito's hand-animated silent film, combining music and community engagement. Resetting Friedrich W. Murnau's classic 1922 film Nosferatu in contemporary New York City, Mastrovito and his team of 12 artists have created over 35,000 original drawings to replicate the beautifully eerie flickering shutter effect of early cinema. The reimagined storyline and title-cards of NYsferatu were made in collaboration with recent immigrants and English as new language learners. The film is accompanied by an original musical improvisation by The Michael Leonhart Orchestra.
Second Sundays - Pioneer Works

Coastal Cleanup - Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 1

Team up with other volunteers to combat pollution in our waterways and along our coastlines.Coastal Cleanup Volunteers give back to the community by helping us remove hundreds of pounds of trash from Pier 1 salt marshes and beaches. Scheduled times are according to low tides.All volunteers must fill out a waiver and bring it to their first volunteer activity in the park. Volunteers 18 years old or younger should submit their waiver signed by a parent or guardian before any activity begins; volunteers 16 years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Waterfront Walks: Guided Park Tours - Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 1

Join our docents on a tour to learn about the history of the Brooklyn waterfront, BBP's sustainable design, and how the Park came to life!Wear comfortable shoes, these tours traverse the beautiful park landscape! All tours meet at Pier 1 entrance and last about an hour. Interested in taking a group tour? Groups of 6 or more, please fill out a group tour request form to schedule a tour. The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy reserves the right to cancel due to extreme weather conditions.

Join New York Road Runners at Pier 6 for free Tuesday night runs.New York Road Runners invite you to join their free Tuesday night Open Runs! Whether you're a first time runner, a seasoned marathoner, or you prefer to walk, you're welcome along. No need to register in advance; sign-in takes place on site. Volunteers track the timing and marshal the course, but please leave your valuables at home as bag check is not provided. To participate, meet on the path south of Fornino at Pier 6 at 6:45pm for registration. The run begins at 7:00pm and the course comprises a full 5K. NYRR Open Runs are open to all ages. Strollers and dogs on leashes welcome.
The Means of a Ready Escape: Brooklyn's Prospect Park - Prospect Park Alliance

In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Prospect Park, Brooklyn Historical Society and Prospect Park Alliance present an exhibition that celebrates the founding vision of the Park, traces its social and historical trajectories, and examines the important role that Prospect Park has played as "Brooklyn's Backyard" for 150 years. The Brooklyn Historical Society is closed on major holidays.
