The event brings together readers and book lovers to shine a spotlight on school-readiness and to raise funds to support the work done by Jumpstart to level the playing field for all young children. The highlight of the event is the Writers Panel, a small group of authors, from multiple genres, who engage in a lively discussion about their literary experiences, books, and early education. This year’s panelists include: • Dale V. Atkins, PhD and Amanda R. Salzhauer, MSW, co-authors of The Kindness Advantage. Atkins is the author of numerous books and articles on family relationships focusing on wellness and she is a frequent guest expert in the media. Salzhauer is a social worker in clinics and private practice. • Min Jin Lee, author of the bestselling novel, Pachinko, which was a finalist for the National Book Award and was named a Book of the Year by The New York Times, USA Today, the BBC, and the New York Public Library. Watson Adventures’ Wizard School Scavenger Hunt 2: The Museum of Magical History - American Museum of Natural History

Join us on a Harry Potter-themed scavenger hunt for ages 10 and up! Embark on a wizarding adventure at the American Museum of Natural History where you’ll search for exhibits that echo characters, places and enchanted objects in the books and movies of the Harry Potter universe. Be prepared to track fantastic beasts through a forbidden (rain)forest, dance with Hagrid-like giants, encounter a cute cousin of dragons and more. This hunt references the books to provide a bridge to many wonderful exhibits. Kids must be accompanied by an adult, but all-adult teams can compete separately. Price includes museum admission. That PHYSICS or CHEMISTRY SHOW - Playroom Theater
