Cinderella Burlesque in New York with Company XIV

Cinderella burlesque comes to New York with Company XIV, whose 2015-2016 Off-Broadway season includes three adult-only shows: the world premiere of Cinderella, a revival of Nutcracker Rouge, and the world premiere of Snow White. All are conceived, directed, and choreographed by Drama Desk Award nominee Austin McCormick.

Cinderella is running now through November 15. This dazzling new creation is based on the baroque original by fairy tale forefather Charles Perrault (1628-1703). Sip a libation whilst you experience a thrilling fusion of nightlife and theatre, featuring XIV’s unique blend of live opera, circus, burlesque, vaudeville, baroque dance, and sumptuous design. The cast includes Hilly Bodin, Katrina Cunningham, Lea Helle, Jakob Karr, Nicholas Katen, Malik Kitchen, Mark Osmundsen, Davon Rainey, Marcy Richardson, Steven Trumon Gray, Allison Ulrich, and Brett Umlauf.

When Cinderella finishes its run, the acclaimed Nutcracker Rouge will return. From Nov. 24–Jan. 17, find a sparkling reimagining of the beloved Nutcracker tale told with erotic, sensual, and opulent flair. From award-winning director/choreographer Austin McCormick comes a baroque-burlesque confection of theatre, dance, music, circus, opera, and sumptuous design. Immerse yourself in a hedonistic display of gorgeous and decadent winter entertainment in this thrillingly unique fusion of nightlife and theatre.

The world premiere of Snow White is inspired by the Brothers Grimm version of the beloved fairy tale, blending circus, opera, dance, theatre, and lavish design. Snow White will run from Jan. 26–March 12.

Austin McCormick was nominated for a 2015 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Choreography for Rococo Rouge. Company XIV was nominated for a 2014 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience for Nutcracker Rouge, a 2012 Bessie Award for Outstanding Visual Design for Snow White and five 2010 NY Innovative Theater Awards for Le Serpent Rouge and Snow White.

Shows take place at the Minetta Lane Theatre, located at 18 Minetta Ln. between MacDougal St. and Sixth Ave. in New York City. The shows contain partial nudity: admissionis limited to those 16 and over.

Tickets for Cinderella and Snow White range from $40 to $65, with premium and VIP seating from $75 to $105. Tickets for Nutcracker Rouge range from $50 to $85, with premium and VIP seating from $100 to $175.
