Blu on Park: Surf, Turf, Brunch, and Happy Hours

A modern steakhouse nestled into a building rich with history and traces of the Prohibition era, the Upper East Side's Blu on Park delivers on both taste and atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a lively bar and lounge, a cozy dining room, or a large private dining space, Blu on Park has you covered.

The Surf

Blu on Park features a premium chilled shellfish and raw bar during brunch, lunch, and dinner. You can also order the popular oysters for $3 a piece, or try jumbo shrimp or Maine lobster cocktails. For lunch, look for favorites like salmon tartare, tuna poke, crab cakes, a spicy lobster roll, and grilled wild salmon. For dinner, choose from the likes of Maine lobster, sautéed jumbo tiger shrimp, herb-roasted whole branzino, and wasabi pea tuna. If all that seafood sounds delicious and you just can’t make up your mind, Land & Sea is on the menu to give you the best of both worlds.

The Turf

They don’t call Blu on Park a steakhouse for nothing. The menu houses select choices of steak cuts, each as succulent and mouth-watering as the last. For $50 a person, and for two, three, or four people, the Porterhouse can be yours. That’s just the beginning, as you can also choose a New York sirloin, a rib-eye, a filet mignon (regular or petite), or a tomahawk for two. If steak just doesn’t sound like it’ll hit the spot, there’s also baby lamb chops, a half Murray’s chicken, and short ribs. That’s all in addition to the eclectic offering of side dishes and the classic soups and salads.

Brunch & Dessert

Brunch in the city means elegance in the form of both sweet and savory, and Blu on Park is no exception. Yogurt parfait, frittatas, steaks, and Benedicts are all on the menu. Pancakes are classy and topped with your choice of strawberries, blackberries, hazelnut topping, sliced bananas, and whipped cream. French toast is almond crusted. There really is no wrong way to start your day at Blu on Park.

Finish your meal off with something satisfying and sweet from the dessert menu here. Whether sour cream cheesecake, vanilla panna cotta, double chocolate mousse, or almond cake is your guilty pleasure of choice, you won’t be disappointed.

Happy Hour

Blu on Park knows what will make you happy, and that’s sure to include an all-day Happy Hour on weekends. From 11am to 10:30 pm, oysters are $1.50 each, draft beers are $6, house wines and well drinks are $8, the cocktail of the day is $10, and so much more. It’s the perfect time to sample the truffle Aracini, beef skewers, or Burger & Beer Combo (only $17). The happy hour here can be a stop along the way or the destination itself!
