One World Observatory

Inside Scoop: One World Observatory

A visit to the One World Observatory is a journey like no other! Start by ascending to the top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere in less than sixty seconds, in state-of-the-art "Sky Pod Elevators" that feature a floor-to-ceiling LED screen showing the ever evolving New York skyline. Once reaching the 100th floor, visitors can take in panoramic, uninterrupted views on the main platform; the 101st floor features three dining areas and the 102nd has a private event space that can accommodate up to 300 people.

Entering the Main Observatory, visitors are greeted at the Global Welcome Center, where a large video screen offers salutations in various languages. They then view a program short, Voices, which tells the personal stories of the men and women who built One World Trade Center. The Main Observatory space includes an interactive “concierge”—City Pulse—where visitors can seek information on various neighborhoods and receive personalized recommendations. HD video monitors provide close-up views.

Observatory hours daily are 8am-10pm, with the last ticket sale at 8:45pm. This summer there are great package deals at One World Observatory like VIP tours and ONE Dine PRE-FIXE specials, where you can enjoy multi-course lunches and dinners accompanied by the greatest views in the world. You can also save on combo tickets that include Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

Admission is $35 for adults, $32 for seniors above age 65, and $28 for children between ages 6 and 12. Kids 5 and under get in free. Admission for 9/11 family members, rescue, and recovery workers is free. Special discounts will be offered to active and retired members of the US military.
